Librarian: E-Resources Management at Rhodes University

About the Job

Purpose

• To identify and promote the development, discoverability, visibility, and accessibility of the Rhodes University Library’s subscribed to, and free information resources. As part of the Library Management team, the Librarian: e-Resources Management manages and develops the University’s virtual collections including the provision of training, support, guidance, and advocacy. To contribute to development and innovation in technical services in the Rhodes University Library Services.

Requirements
A relevant B Degree (NQF level 7) and approximately 6 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -

• Having worked in a computerised academic and/or research library.
• Previous exposure to IT applications and electronic library & information tools.
• Previous experience in a collection development processes, including budget cycle processes.
• Previous supervision experience and/or project management experience.
