Life Valuations Actuary (Corporate Actuarial) at OUTsurance

Job Description

The actuarial department requires the service of a self-motivated individual, a go-getter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure. The successful candidate will focus on all Life Valuations actuarial duties pertaining to the role.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience:

• Nearly/newly qualified Actuary

• +-4 years Life Valuations experience

Experience and technical competencies

• strong analytical and modelling capabilities

• actual vs expected experience investigations and assumption setting

• the production and reporting of annual and quarterly reserving and solvency results under IFRS/SAM

• Embedded Value and Value of New Business calculations and interpretations

• Prophet, SQL and Excel exposure

The following skills are not crucial but would be advantageous

• ORSA

• IFRS17

• Technical proficiency and an eagerness to expand skills and develop knowledge

• An ability to thrive in a busy environment with multiple deliverables

• The ability to interact in a team-environment

• High attention to detail
