Requirements:
- Grade12. Valid Level 2 First Aid Certificate or have obtained within 6 months of appointment.
- Valid Lifeguard Award or Equivalent with current annual retest. Minimum of 2 years' professional experience.

- Strong Swimming Skills. Alertness & Vigilance. Physical Fitness. Good Judgment & Decision-making. Calmness Under Pressure. Communication Skills. Knowledge of First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Responsibility & Reliability. Empathy & Compassion. Teamwork.
Key Performance Areas:
- Lifeguard. Rescue Distressed Persons using Technique & Equipment. Pool Maintenance & Equipment. Coordinates Specific Administrative & Reporting Requirements associated with the Recreation Administration.
