Local Risk Manager at SANNE

Job Description
Good risk and control management is the foundation of excellent performance and is a characteristic of a high performing business. We are seeking a manager to support and drive the strengthening of our risk and control environment through the application of our Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework principally in South Africa, with involvement in other jurisdictions. The role will suit an agile, energetic risk manager looking to progress and learn in a changing environment.

Requirements

• Local risk management, active and ongoing engagement with local senior management team on risk matters.
• Oversight of local internal control environments, risk escalation, jurisdictional Business Risk Committees oversight and governance.
• Support to risk acquisitions and risk integration activity, oversight of event management and issues management processes.
• Risk reporting and presentation to local Boards.
• Contribute to monitor and maintain our Risk Management Framework in the jurisdictions you’re involved.

Skills / Experience

• Must have at least 2 years experience in a relevant risk management role.
• Must have theoretical knowledge and practical experience of a Risk Management Framework.
• Ideally will have experience of Alternative Asset products and Fund Administration services and processes.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills – written and oral.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to work on your own and in a remote team and reprioritise your workstack to suit changing business priorities and tight timelines.
• Ability to learn and understand key business processes, internal controls, and develop meaningful assessments.
