Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Std 8 I Grade 10 or equivalent
• Must be registered with the Locksmith's Association of South Africa (LASA) and the Private Security 
• Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)       
• At least five (5) years' relevant working experience doing Locksmithing tasks (experience in the construction sector will be an added advantage    
• A valid Driver's licence 

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Check job cards on BMJLS system and sign-off jobs completed
• Cut new or duplicate keys from existing keys, patterns, or codes
• Install, repair, adjust and replace locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities
• Provide new/replacement keys and open up locks
• Repair and maintain an existing lock systems
• Keep accurate records of keys
• Maintain Master key system
• Scheduling of work and priority of works to be completed
• Safety - Ensure that safety measure are observed & report health and safety issues.
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Maintenance Foreman or Maintenance Manager.
