    Lockup Manager (Longmeadow)

    Job Summary

    • The Lockup Manager is responsible for the effective management, control, and daily operation of eight designated lockups and six high-rise storage systems within the warehouse environment. This role ensures stock accuracy, security, operational efficiency, and strict adherence to ACDC policies and procedures.
    • As a key operational leader, the Lockup Manager is required to be the first point of access each day and the last individual to leave the lockup area, ensuring the security and integrity of all stock and facilities.
    • The role involves supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies, managing replenishment activities, and supporting company-wide stock control initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Management

    • Open and secure all eight assigned lockups daily.
    • Act as the first person on site within the lockup area and the last person to leave, ensuring proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all assigned lockups and high-rise storage systems to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all ACDC operational policies, procedures, and safety standards.

    Inventory Control & Stock Management

    • Maintain accurate stock levels and monitor all stock movements in accordance with established inventory control procedures.
    • Manage and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels based on sales trends and operational requirements.
    • Perform daily stock replenishment activities to ensure adequate inventory availability.
    • Ensure stock is accurately picked, checked, and prepared for dispatch within required timelines.
    • Receive incoming stock, verify quantities and product accuracy, and ensure items are stored in the correct bin locations.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts, range counts, and inventory audits to achieve and maintain stock accuracy.
    • Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions where required.
    • Identify and report “no stock” items to the Inventory Department in accordance with company procedures.
    • Investigate, track, and ensure all back orders are processed, fulfilled, and invoiced accurately.

    Team Leadership & Compliance

    • Supervise lockup personnel and ensure staff perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
    • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to team members on warehouse processes and stock handling procedures.
    • Monitor employee compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
    • Ensure unauthorized personnel do not gain access to lockup areas.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Housekeeping, Maintenance & Security

    • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and organization are maintained across all lockup areas.
    • Monitor the condition of all six high-rise storage systems and ensure regular servicing and maintenance requirements are met.
    • Report equipment, facility, or maintenance issues to the relevant department promptly.
    • Ensure stock and assets are stored securely and safeguarded against loss, damage, or theft.

    Stock Take & Audit Support

    • Participate in company-wide stock takes and inventory audits, including Express Store stock audits.
    • Prepare lockup inventory areas for stock counts and support the reconciliation process.
    • Ensure inventory records remain accurate and audit-ready at all times.

    Additional Duties

    • Perform any other reasonable duties or responsibilities assigned by management in support of business operations.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the electrical, wholesale, or hardware industry.
    • Proven experience managing high-volume stock operations and inventory control processes.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
    • Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of electrical products, material handling practices, and warehouse safety requirements will be advantageous.
    • Ability to conduct stock investigations, reconciliations, and inventory analysis.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Stock accuracy maintained at company target levels.
    • Compliance with min/max stock holding requirements.
    • Timely completion of stock replenishment and dispatch processes.
    • Successful completion of cycle counts and stock audits.
    • Reduction in stock discrepancies and inventory losses.
    • High levels of procedural compliance within all lockups.
    • Maintenance of housekeeping and safety standards.
    • Effective management of back orders and stock-related queries.
