    Logistics Manager - eThekwini (Durban)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement Logistics management procedures and protocols specific to the healthcare industry.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment to meet operational needs while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
    • Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand, anticipate inventory requirements, and plan procurement accordingly.
    • Conduct regular audits to track inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
    • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and distributors to negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including proper storage, handling, and documentation of medical inventory.
    • Utilize inventory management software and systems effectively to streamline processes and optimize inventory control.

    Inherent Requirements    

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistics Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of X years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of healthcare inventory practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software/tools.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and lead a team effectively.
