Logistics Operations Manager at Exxaro Resources

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATIONS:

• BCom (Hons) Logistics (Essential/Minimum or)
• BCom (Hons) Relevant (Essential/Minimum)
• Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)

EXPERIENCE:

• 8-10 years   Relevant Marketing, Operational and Commercial Logistics experience. Sound understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety and the Mine Health and Safety Acts and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex problems in a dynamic environment.  (Essential/Minimum)  Management

REQUIREMENTS:

• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• MHS Act Regulation 2.9.2 (Recommended/Desirable)
• OHS Act: Regulation 16(2) (Recommended/Desirable)

Duties & Responsibilities    
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

•  Develop and execute logistical strategies and plans to integrate and optimise the flow of commodities to various customers
• To ensure that Exxaro executes the maximum product evacuation through all routes to market.
• To oversee and manage the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement by road or of trains and cargo across the rail network, providing exceptional, compliant service to our clients and stakeholders.
• To identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• To lead the Logistics Operations teams towards the successful delivery of its strategy, creating an environment conducive to delivering Exxaro’s growth and revenue ambitions while fostering a culture of safety, compliance, ownership, and accountability.
