Logistics Team Leader at UD Trucks

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensures that all KPI are met.
• Maintain the Standard Sheet (SS) Control System.
• Ensures that all parts are handled in a good way.
• Ensure that all employees have the relevant equipment/tools and it is in a good working condition. (picking list, Forklift ,Scale and Computers)
• Training of the team members.
• Have knowledge of all operations within the work area.
• Reliever – Needs to relief in his/her working area in the absence of an employee.
• Attend manufacturing meetings and chair green area meeting every day.
• Make sure that the employees in his/her working area comply with the rules of wearing the PPE.
• Do job balancing within his/her working area.
• Inform the manager of any defects, damages or irregularities.
• Carry out instructions as given by Manager
• Ensure that the working areas are tidy and clean.
• Ensures that the UCR process runs smoothly.
• Complete hourly report on daily basis.
• Load sick notes on Employee system (DNA).
• Ensures that all stock requisition is completed and GRN done.
• Responsible for process start-up
• Meet production set-up goals
• Responsible for calling-off material from the cross-dock
• Answer to Andon/flags calls
• Regulates and manage absenteeism
• Creates and updates SOPs(Standard Operating Procedure) together with team members
• Performs an audit on the created SOP
• Manage 3x3x3 matrix tool and training based on job descriptions
• Participates in kaizen activities

Minimum qualifications and requirements

• Grade 12 or N3.
• 3 years Diploma in Industrial Eng. /Mechanical Eng. /Operations Management or related qualification or completion of AMIC Skill Level 4
• Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift
• Computer literacy
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
