Requirements    

• Matric,
• National Diploma, safety & security qualifications would be advantageous
• 3 - 5 years relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level 
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• Code 08 Driver's license/own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Perform Safety and Loss Control functions  
• Contribute to curbing theft, damages & losses 
• Conduct inspections & risk assessments with security services and implement improvements
• Control of access to site ( staff, contractors & visitors)
• Investigate incidents and compile reports 
• Conduct ad-hoc investigations (e.g. vehicle accidents, theft, damages & losses) 
• Monitor security systems (e.g. fences, gates, alarm systems, access control, CCTV) 
• Coordinate safety aspects in line with OHS Act 
• Assist with the management of certain site services (e.g. Security services, CCTV, taxi service providers, garden services) 
• Management of Bestime access control system (staff & contractors, take on access, removal of exits, updates and reporting of faults and & follow up)
• Control of Keys and key register
• Liaise with local law enforcement regarding SAPS security clearance
• Assist with & participate in emergency response drills
• Assist with weekly sprinkler and quarterly alarm tests
• Control of Lockers (food & clothing)
• Standby duties after normal hours
• Travel off-site
