Machine Press Operator - Kempton Park at Wabtec Corporation

Formal Education/Training:

• Matric, with math’s and science as one of the passed subjects.
• N3 Mechanical or higher
• Experience and Skills:
• Understanding basic Machine Safety and adherence to regulations
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of production procedures and following manufacturing processes
• Ability to understand numbers (measurements etc.)

Duties (But not limited to): 

• Mixing of Friction Material to manufacture
• Mixing machines (Friction Material Industrial mixing machine)
• Press Machines. (Computer Operated Machines)
• Hot Oven machines (Computer Operated Machines)
• Operating in a high-volume environment with expected results to the daily schedule.
• Must operate to specific work instruction weighing the material required, mixing and pressing them to the expected requirement.
• Operating grinding machines for brake pads and discs
