THE JOB AT A GLANCE

Coordination, planning and maintenance execution of electrical maintenance of machinery and equipment for production department as well as performing required maintenance when necessary. Manage a team of qualified artisans as well as assistants and seasonal personnel in the electrical department. 

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Coordinate the allocation of tasks to maintenance staff
• Ensure that work is completed as per schedules and as per requirements
• Supervise maintenance staff
• Training of maintenance staff
• Manage and execute small projects
• Manage maintenance within budget limits
• Administer the DMS system (PMS)
• Maintenance of factory equipment 

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Required Prior Learning

• Qualified and trade tested artisan (Electrician, Millwright, National Diploma: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Qualification advantage) 
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience at a supervisory level minimum 3-5 years
• Sound Knowledge of the OHSACT
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of pumps, conveyers, shakers, filling & seaming, palletisers, boilers, refrigeration, can handling equipment, HT reticulation, distribution and generator plants
• Computer literacy (Word, Outlook & Excel)
• Practical knowledge and experience in the administration of a PM system
