    Maintenance Fitter - Asset Care Artisan

    • A position has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Fitter (Asset Care Artisan) to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of all machinery and equipment within the department. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems to support production efficiency and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct and coordinate all maintenance on machinery and equipment within the department
    • Complete maintenance schedules and programmes for each machine in line with company requirements
    • Build and maintain an inventory of critical machine spares
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality System standards
    • Control and manage machine spares according to required standards
    • Attend to mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns promptly
    • Order necessary equipment and tools for factory operations when required
    • Support production teams in achieving optimal efficiency levels
    • Identify, recommend, and implement technical improvements where cost-effective
    • Ensure all machines are properly serviced, maintained, and operating efficiently
    • Be available for after-hours call-outs when required
    • Ensure machinery is operational and supported during night shifts

    Minimum Requirements:

    • N3 qualification or equivalent in a mechanical field
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels
    • Logical, systematic, and structured approach to maintenance and repairs
    • Strong commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement
    • Ability to manage conflict constructively and professionally
    • Willingness to work overtime and be on call
