Maintenance Supervisor at PepsiCo

Responsibilities

• Embed PeMM every day and ensure compliance and self-audits are performed
• Development of an optimised maintenance work plan with defined and documented processes
• Development of appropriate routine maintenance schedules
• Ensure accurate data and document control, ensure all work orders are properly managed through CMMS
• Communicate and train maintenance personnel in the maintenance procedures
• Drive execution of preventive and condition-based maintenance plans.
• Integration of maintenance activities with production plans
• Allocate work effectively across shifts to support 24/7 operations.
• Forward planning of manpower and materials for planned work and ensuring that those resources are marshalled in readiness.
• Lead weekly shutdown of maintenance work in relation to duration, priority, skills requirements, spares, special tools and equipment, specialist services, and identification of appropriate material requirements.
• Estimation and arranging of contract labour to supplement existing resources to meet maintenance
• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities.
• Ensure rapid response to breakdowns to minimize production losses
• Analyse recurring faults and lead root cause analysis (RCA)
• Support line efficiency improvement initiatives aligned to plant KPIs (waste/damages, uptime, throughput).
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
• Maintain high schedule compliance for preventive maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and detailed maintenance reporting

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience within the manufacturing environment in the FMCG industry
• Previously in leadership position
• Technical Trade, Red seal
• Engineering Diploma/Degree will be advantageous
• SAP Experience
