Maintenance Team Leader - Somerset West at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Install and maintain all plant Instrumentation, Electrical and Mechanical Equipment and Systems.
• Maintain Maintenance Connection works orders and Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
• Carry out routine inspections and functionality checks as per schedule on different plant sections and raise a works order for defects where required.
• Pneumatic and Electronic calibrations of Plant.
• Installation and Maintenance of any new plant.
• Fault finding on Pumps and electrical circuits – Troubleshooting.
• Clean and maintain all instrument and electrical equipment on the plant.
• Execute works orders and Scheduled task.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and plants.
• Ensure that all safety standards are maintained
• Identify problem areas and implement pro-active maintenance and plant improvement corrective
• Optimise MMU reliability by continually improving the preventative maintenance system through the identification of opportunities for
• Install and maintain irrigation equipment pumps and water hydraulic system / boreholes.
• Perform safety and health inspections and implement corrective action.
• Training and development of the Operators.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Matric / Grade 12.
• N3 Electrical
• Minimum of 5 years Millwright experience
• Must have experience working on irrigation equipment.
• Must have experience working with hand tools such as jigsaws, drilling machines, bench grinders and machinery.
• Must have experience working on pneumatics.
• Hands-on technical, experience is essential.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• A good understanding and knowledge of safety standards, quality management and production processes.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• General agricultural knowledge will be an advantage.
