    Maitre'd

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, including managing the waitstaff, assigning tables, and ensuring smooth service throughout meal times
    • Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the waitstaff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism
    • Monitor and maintain the inventory of dining room supplies, including china, glassware, and silverware
    • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders
    • Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience and handle any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as the bar and entertainment teams, to ensure a seamless guest experience
    • Assist in creating and implementing menus and special dining events to enhance the guest experience
    • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe dining environment
    • Oversee the billing process and ensure accurate and timely delivery of guest checks
    • Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and budget management, to ensure efficient operations of the dining room

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maitre'd in a high-volume restaurant or cruise ship setting
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and background check
