About the Role

• To manage the handling, storage, and processing of grain to ensure a high-quality product while achieving sustainable production and financial results — in line with VKB’s commitment to excellence, accountability, and value creation.

Minimum requirements

• Qualified Maize Miller
• 5–10 years’ experience in a similar role
• Willingness to work shifts
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation
• Clear criminal record
• Proven ability to add value through continuous improvement and problem-solving

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reconciliation of raw materials to final product with accuracy and integrity
• Ensure equipment functionality through regular checks in collaboration with maintenance teams
• Lead and manage production staff, fostering teamwork and accountability
• Maintain strict quality control standards aligned with food safety requirements
• Ensure production targets are met through efficient and disciplined operations
• Promote and maintain excellent housekeeping standards
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and relevant legislation
