Manager - Blood Bank (Medicity Vergelegen Blood Bank) at Western Cape Blood Service

Main Purpose:

To manage the operations of the Blood Bank by maintaining and implementing policies and procedures as well as advise on technical issues relating to patients.

To manage staff at optimum levels with the available resources in order to provide an efficient service. Perform analysis of sales and expenses as well as assessing information for trends so as to contain operating costs.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Drivers licence
• Reliable vehicle
• National Diploma in Biomedical Technology/ BTech in Biomedical Technology
• Registration with HPCSA in Blood Transfusion or Immunohaematology
• Minumum of 3 years post qualification
• 1 – 2 years of supervisory experience
• Computer literate

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a friendly disposition and show a keen interest in the work. 
• A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
