Manager: Business Applications at National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC

The Individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Oversee the management and optimization of all enterprise business applications, including SAP and other business-critical systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and other applications to support business processes effectively.
• Drive the adoption of new features, modules, and technologies within SAP to enhance business operations
• Lead the resolution of complex application issues and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
• Manage the configuration, customization, and enhancement of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, PP, and others.
• Oversee SAP Basis administration, including system performance, patches, upgrades, and security.
• Lead SAP project implementations, upgrades, and rollouts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and optimization within the SAP environment.
• Ensure the secure and efficient operation of the organization’s network, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
• Develop and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for business application management.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance frameworks and industry regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Conduct regular audits of business applications to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, tools, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Lead initiatives to streamline and improve business processes using technology solutions.
• Drive digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and goals.
• Prepare and manage the budget for business applications, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
• Evaluate and recommend investments in new technologies and applications to enhance operational efficiency
• Manage relationships with SAP partners, consultants, and other third-party vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business units to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure vendor SLAs are met and coordinate with external service providers for issue resolution and system enhancements.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, SAP specialists, and application support professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, ensuring skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs for team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Information Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing enterprise business applications, with at least 3 years focused on SAP environments.
• Proven track record of leading SAP implementations, upgrades, and support.
• Experience with SAP integration tools such as PI/PO, IDocs, and RFCs.
• At least one of the following SAP certifications:
• SAP Certified Technology Associate
• SAP Certified Application Associate
• SAP Certified Development Associate
• SAP Certified Integration Associate
• SAP Certified Technology Professional
• SAP Certified Application Professional
• SAP Activate Project Manager Certification
• Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile), COBIT or ITIL Certification in service management preferably.
