    Manager - Business Solutions Support and Cash Supply Chain Coordination - CMD

    Brief description

    The main purpose of this position is to manage the Business Solutions Support and Supply Chain functions within the Supply Chain Management Division to ensure the completion and settlement of daily financial transactions in the national cash management industry and contribute to efficiencies within the supply chain operational environment.  

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Develop frameworks, guidelines and processes for the Business Solutions support and supply chain functions within CMD. 
    • Manage and lead the Business Solutions Support and Supply Chain Coordination functions by setting clear and achievable objectives and targets, prioritising work, managing resource utilisation and costs.
    • Plan and manage the quality of the deliverables and workflows within the Supply Chain Management and Business Systems functions.
    • Drive the strategic review of critical business systems within the Cash Management Department (CMD), including research, benchmarking, validation and the prioritisation of business cases in support of the effective execution of the CMD strategy.
    • Drive and manage the implementation of systems changes and upgrades that support the overall information technology (IT) strategy of CMD. 
    • Represent CMD as a senior team member at internal and external forums and committees.
    • Manage the refining of policies, processes and systems and improve alignment with related divisional processes and systems.
    • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships in support of the effective delivery of divisional outputs.
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to the division’s functions, address audit findings and ensure compliance with the relevant governance frameworks as well as contribute to CMD’s business continuity processes.
    • Provide input into the development of third-party legal agreements and contracts in conjunction with the Legal Services Department.
    • Manage relationships and the performance of strategic suppliers in line with the legal agreements and contracts to ensure the timely provision of goods and services.
    • Manage and encourage a performance culture and support the career development and succession planning within the division. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a minimum of an Honours degree in Computer Science or an equivalent NQF-8 qualification;
    • a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in an IT environment, of which 3 years in a management role; and
    • three years’ experience in managing supply chain or national cash management platforms.
