A relevant Degree or National Diploma in Facilities Management, Property Management, Built Environment, Hospitality, or an equivalent qualification
Minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience, of which at least three (3) years must be at a supervisory or management level
Proven knowledge of: Municipal environment and operations, Asset and facilities management, Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Supply Chain Management and contract management
Computer literacy and strong administrative skills
Excellent planning, organising and ability to manage teams
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Valid Code B (08) driver’s licence.
The successful applicant / candidate must possess competencies as published in Annexure A of the Local Government: Municipal
Staff Regulations promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 of 20 September 2021
Key Performance Areas:
Manage and oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of municipal buildings and facilities.
Develop and implement facilities maintenance plans, programmes, and budgets.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and municipal standards.
Manage municipal immovable assets related to facilities, including reporting and record-keeping.
Coordinate and monitor service providers and facilities-related contracts.
Provide technical and administrative support relating to facilities management.
Supervise and manage staff within the Facilities Unit.
Ensure adherence to municipal policies, procedures, and Supply Chain Management processes.
Compile reports and provide management support to senior management
