Manager: Local Economic Development at Emalahleni Municipality

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

•  A relevant 3 year tertiary qualification  Computer Literacy  Code B Driver’s License  5-8 Years relevant experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement the municipality’s Local Economic Development Strategy in alignment with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Identify and promote investment opportunities, SMME development, and public-private partnerships
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with business forums, government departments, and development agencies
• Manage LED projects, including funding applications, project implementation, and monitoring Promote tourism, agriculture, and industrial development initiatives Prepare reports, budgets, and performance plans for the LED unit.

CORE MANAGERIAL & OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Must have a proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and economic research.
