Manager Medical Services - Steve Biko Academic Hospital
An MBChB qualification with the HPCSA registration as a medical practitioner.
A minimum of five years appropriate experience as a Medical Officer after registration with the HPCSA as an independent medical practitioner of which three years are in the public sector.
A post graduate diploma and or degree in Health Management will be an added advantage. Management experience in the public sector is strongly recommended.
A valid Driver’s licence is a requirement.
Duties :
Oversees the daily operations within the clinical services unit. Conduct frequent hospital and interdepartmental visits, Identify and mitigate any challenges that hamper service delivery in the hospital. Take ward rounds regularly as prescribed and required, be well versed with clinical matters.
Attend strategic Clinical meetings and actively engage with the healthcare teams. Contribute meaningfully to patient safety and quality healthcare establishment.
Analyse the performance indicators and manage the trends in the hospital to ensure efficient service delivery.
Be a critical player in compliance with the Ideal Hospital Frameworks and compliance as per the Office of Health Standards Compliance. Prepare Steve Biko Academic Hospital to be accredit for NHI.Manage financial and human resources.
