The Manager: Mining is appointed as a 3.1(a) legal appointment in terms of the MHSA of 1996 and is responsible for ensuring that work practices are optimised at such a level that the mine is managed safely and profitably. The Manager: Mining is accountable for the production plan execution, development of people and systems to ensure safe, quality, reliable and cost effective outcomes, whilst continuously improving the process.
