    Manager: Reporting and Analytics

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The Manager: Reporting & Analytics is responsible for developing, monitoring and providing effective Analytics, Reporting& MIS insights to the Payments & E-Commerce function.

    The role is responsible for managing analytics for the function, generate business intelligence reports and MIS for various leadership forums (Exco, Remco, Board etc. )The position requires building strong technical hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships across the Payments & Ecommerce and Group Technology

    The role is responsible to deliver actionable insights and periodic MIS reports to the business & product teams that aids in strategic decision making

    The Manager: Reporting & Analytics reports to Executive: FinTech Payments & E-Commerce and is supported by a Specialist

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's) 
    Key Deliverables

    The Manager will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goals
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the functional strategy, roadmap and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem

    Operational Delivery

    • Drive a analytics & reporting roadmap; prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs
    • Drive elicitation and review business reporting and analytic requirements from the Payment & Ecommerce team through formal interviews or facilitated sessions and translate into technical designs for Reporting dashboards & MIS implementation
    • Work with internal stakeholders in identifying and prioritizing requirements; understanding processes and deliver custom reports
    • Mine data from database tables (Data mining and B.I Tools, Oracle/SQL, Data Warehouse)
    • Develop BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic solutions to provide data necessary to effectively make business decisions and measure goal attainment and overall performance
    • Collate business intelligence data through public information, industry and field reports, or purchased sources, to provide outside in view to the business teams
    • Monitor and report on the competitor and customer landscape across the Group Finco footprint
    • Establish intuitive reporting methodologies, perform ad-hoc market analysis as required to support the functional strategy and analyze performance
    • Drive the automation of key measurement metrics and MIS reports
    • Develop complex macros, algorithms, and other automation processes to facilitate data mining and analysis
    • Responsible to implement MIS dashboard templates that translate raw data into insightful and actionable information to enable users to take actions more effectively
    • Contribute to the business results by creating world-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling
    • Collaborate with Data Architecture and Data Engineering teams
    • Establish and meet required SLAs and TAT for requirements
    • Prepare executive presentations for various leadership forums and committees (Functional reviews, Exco, Remco, Board etc. )
    • Prepare functional performance presentation & reports with regard to key Performance metrices and KPIs being tracked

    Governance

    Operational, Tactical and Strategic Meetings

    • Provide input in strategic meetings when required
    • Provide inputs into the risk mitigation and controls
    • Provide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives, policies and procedures

    Escalations

    • Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impact
    • Provide solutions to escalations that have multiple processes / functions impact on critical path of service delivery
    • Function Tactical
    • Provide input into all projects initiated
    • Provide input into establishing objectives, targets and budgets for the function as applicable
    • Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
    • Prepare documentation required for sign-off / making decisions regarding tactical changes

    Performance

    • Ensure execution in alignment with functional strategy
    • Continuous performance monitoring and adjust strategy and actions to deliver targets

    Reporting

    • Report on a periodic basis relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
    • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required

    Staff Leadership and Management

    • Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working
    • Align function’s values with Fincos brand values
    • Provide guidance and leadership ensuring future focus and current efficiency
    • Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff motivation is high
    • Ensure adequate succession planning & that succession plans are achieved
    • Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program
    • Ensure the effective management of diversity among personnel in the division
    • Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions
    • Manage team (including recruitment, on boarding, attrition)
    • Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress, and maintain motivation
    • Set up appropriate structure to meet departmental management objectives

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies) 
    Education:

    • 4-year Business Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science (or related) Degree
    • Master’s in business administration is advantageous

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial services, consulting, strategy, analytics, engineering, or related industry
    • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position within a multi-country environment
    • Experience in Fintech, banking or financial services is preferred
    • Working experience in BI, customer insights or data analytics related senior role
    • Knowledge of modern Big Data platforms and Open-Source solutions to database, data analysis, and data management
    • Deep knowledge and experience in data reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
    • Deep knowledge and experience in data analytics tools (SQL, Python, SAS, etc.)
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Experience working across global locations/ regions and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges
