    Senior Manager: Fraud Investigations

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    Acting as an advisor in the area of Fraud Investigation, the Senior Manager: Fraud Investigations is responsible for managing the Fraud Risk Framework in terms of fraud investigations and fraud forensics. This role provides expert guidance to the GM Forensic Services on strategic issues and input on developing and continuously improving the fraud investigation framework

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)
    The Senior Manager: Fraud Investigations  will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Lead creation of the Fraud Investigations strategy in line with overarching divisional goals for area within Forensic Services
    • Ensure effective alignment of the Fraud Investigations strategy by means of providing direction, structure, business plans and support for Group and OpCo’s
    • Develop and drive appropriate fraud investigation frameworks, monitoring and mitigation policies, procedures and controls for internal use across the MTN OpCo’s;
    • Ensure that the investigation of fraud is done in accordance to internal standards and methodologies and with assured quality, identifying and developing enhancements that contribute to a more robust fraud investigation and forensic process;
    • Produce/compile high level report on fraud risk investigation, high profile incidents, with recommendations, guidance, trend analysis, best practices, in order to advise management on how to mitigate the risks
    • Ensure that the development of internal training materials on fraud prevention and detection is updated to address internal trends in fraud risk;
    • Develop and drive the investigative processes to ensure that potential and identified fraud is adequately probed; and recommend additional tools and methods that could be deployed in combating breaches to fraud management;
    • Maintain the Group Fraud Incident Register updated, in order to identify trends and high level incidents;
    • Oversee the integration of fraud investigation systems, controls, and processes within the fraud investigation framework;
    • Review analytics reporting on fraud incidents across the business, interpreting trends and recurrent cases, level of risk and impact of these cases aligned to the GIAFS strategy, ensuring that recommendations that will drive effectiveness of internal controls, reducing the risk of fraud across the business;
    • To provide expertise input to management for the development and enhancement of internal fraud investigation strategy and framework, aligned with best practices, which will translate in tighter and more robust controls, with a significant reduction of the risks.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
    Education:

    • 4 year Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science with Post Graduate qualification, Masters Degree Advantageous
    • Professional qualification in Fraud Risk Management
    • Post graduate qualification: CA
    • CFE

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position in fraud risk management, with at least 3 years in Telco/ICT and experience managing people

    Specialist: Testing Lead

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The  Specialist: Testing Lead is responsible for  the testing and quality assurance of all channel related solutions before they are rolled out in the live environment. The role conducts planned tests, catalogues test results, reports to management and suggests possible improvements/configurations to bolster functionality in the across the Digital Channels & products. The incumbent works closely with UX/UI teams in order to drive an enhanced user experience.

    The role reports to  Senior Manager: Digital Experience & Enablement and is an individual contributor. The role maintains liaison with various Group Finco Technology &  Product teams, as and when required

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's) 
    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Support strategy execution in line with the overarching business and functional goals within area of specialisation
    • Prioritise own workload, ensuring interaction with co-workers and other key stakeholders in developing implementation plans and executing them
    • Abide by and execute the functional strategy cascaded by the functional lead

    Operational Delivery

    • Governance and Reporting

    QA and Testing Operations

    • Execute established test plans
    • Accurately record and clearly document all actual results compared to expected results
    • Maintain well organized record of test results and generate historical analysis of test results
    • Fully document any unexpected anomalies identified in testing with instruction of how to recreate the anomaly.
    • Play back test results to the Manager/ Product Manager and subsequently assist in the refinement of product and software requirements where applicable
    • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications
    • Communicate with developers, product managers, usability engineers and technical support specialists on issues
    • Work with technology teams to help perform root cause analysis of issues found in the production environment
    • Execute implementation of the release process for tests with a positive result, under supervision of the manager
    • Ensure that no release disrupts business as usual
    • Resolve any escalations/critical incidents in the release process or escalate to higher level, as required
    • Work with Development team to ensure that the product is fully tested
    • Ensure that all enhancements, bug fixes, and new products are documented
    • Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the product development process
    • Other tasks and duties, as assigned

    Reporting

    • Execute projects initiated in the specific sub-function
    • Abide by the established objectives, targets and budgets for the sub-function, when required
    • Document identified key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions, with guidance from the functional lead
    • Prepare documentation required for sign-off on tactical changes

    Key Deliverables

    The Manager will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goals
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the functional strategy, roadmap and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem

    Operational Delivery

    • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position within a multi-country environment
    • Experience in Fintech, banking or financial services is preferred
    • Working experience in BI, customer insights or data analytics related senior role
