Managing Executive: Access Networks & Internet

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of Access Networks & Internet deliverables and for the overall strategic management and control of resources within this business unit, to provide an efficient, profitable and cost-effective market leading Access Networks practice. Responsible for Converged Communication Strategy, in collaboration with all other Managing Executives.

Key Deliverables

• Develop the Access Networks & Internet strategy and set 3-5 year aspirations in line with market trends, movements and economic conditions and in alignment with the BCX Converged Communications strategy and overall business strategy.
• Provide thought leadership and embed a culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property, research and development to support, fund and facilitate strategic innovation projects within Access Networks.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities to achieve revenue and cost containment targets. Implement corrective action timeously to address deviations from financial targets.
• Lead the monitoring and maintenance of Access Networks & Internet in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
• Manage the identification and mitigation of strategic risk within Access Networks & Internet.
• Promote and facilitate optimum engagement between BCX Divisions and establish and enhance relationships with strategic customers and vendors, ensuring that a customer and sales-oriented mind-set is entrenched.
• Establish and foster a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement and transformation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant Post Graduate Degree (NQF 8) in Business or
• Information Technology or related.
• advantageous: Masters degree (NQF level 9) in Business, Computer
• Science, IT or Engineering
• 10-12 years experience, of which 5 years is at an executive level, with specific relevance to the Access Networks sphere
