    Managing Executive: Marketing

    Core Description

    This role is responsible for the crafting of the marketing operations strategy in supporting the overall business strategy of BCX. The incumbent plays a critical role in positioning BCX as the partner of choice, inspiring and enabling revenue growth for the business across the full BCX footprint. The role will focus on the establishment of a proactive, marketing team, supporting the XaaS capability within BCX, bringing to the business, a very good understanding of the ICT industry, a strong grasp of market trends and customer needs.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
    • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support. Foster a culture of innovation within the marketing team.
    • Set and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve marketing goals and monitoring expenditures.
    • Maintain and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity and positioning across all marketing channels. Respond to negative publicity swiftly and effectively
    • Work closely with product management teams to develop and execute product marketing strategies, including product launches, pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
    • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media marketing and online advertising campaigns. Develop strategies to engage customer relationships through customer retention programs and feedback mechanisms.
    • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that includes creating valuable and relevant content for various customer segments.
    • Adapt marketing strategies to suit different regions and cultures while maintaining brand consistency. Manage partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with other companies to expand our reach and impact.
    • Stay current with industry trends, customer preferences, experience feedback, the competitive landscape through market research and analysis and ensure that all marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, mainly in the IT sector. 
    • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
    • Regularly communicate marketing strategies, initiatives, and performance to the relevant stakeholders

    Minimum Qualifications

    • NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Marketing/Sales
    • OR NQF 4: Grade 12
    • Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage
    • Master in Business Administration (MBA)

    Experience

    • 8 Years’ experience in the ICT industry with a strong focus in marketing and brand disciplines.
    • Or
    • 11 Years’ experience (3 years on senior management level) in the ICT industry with a strong focus in marketing and brand disciplines.

    Certifications

    • Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
