    Market Insights Analyst, Food & Beverages, Africa

    Consumer Biosolutions unites consumer-facing industries at the front of the value chain, covering Household Care, Baking, Dairy, Beverages, Protein and Food. The starting point is an improved understanding of our customers' needs. Then we offer biosolutions that fulfill those needs. BioSolutions combine existing products, new technology, digital solutions and a comprehensive service package. The goal is to create a customer pull for our biosolutions, while protecting what we have.

    In this role you’ll make an impact by:

    • Transforming insights to support and guide local plans and activities (utilizing regional/local insights market/consumer/customer/competitor/trends/global studies, global subscriptions and tools etc.).  
    • Providing regional input to global marketing and market insight teams to ensure knowledge is well anchored and used to inform decisions.
    • Carrying out regional/local customer and market research.
    • Actively participating and contributing to enterprise-wide insight community and capability program led by our global market insight team.
    • Working with the regional team to set up local panels for quick turnaround for specific customer opportunities.
    • Capturing future-oriented consumer trends in regions and feeding it into the new product development pipeline.
    • Working with Communications to identify elements of consumer research which can be amplified by Communications to be a part of Novozymes value proposition. 

    Potentially relevant experience:

    • Have minimum 5 years of experience in the customer insights/market research space working with consumer goods companies (either in-house or at an agency)
    • Have at least 3 years of exposure in 1 segment (household care, baking and/or food & beverage) 
    • Be analytical and structured in your approach to problem solving. Documented experience with both quantitative and qualitative consumer and market research methods is a must
    • Have experience from working on the ground in one of the major Africa markets (e.g South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt) 
    • Have the ability to negotiate with agency partners for customized proposals relevant to Novozymes’ business model and the ability to navigate the internal organization structure & work with stakeholders across regions & cultures.
    • Be fluent in English.
    • Be a self-driven personality and have the ability to ideate and scope your own deliverables.
