WHAT IS YOUR ROLE
The Marketing Specialist will work remotely with a US all-female Marketing team in New York, overseeing the management of their Marketing Automation platform (Klaviyo), and their paid campaigns. This individual will co-develop customer journeys, code email, and create automation flows. The candidate should have a very strong understanding of the use of customer lists and database marketing for automating campaigns, segmentation, funneling, optimization, testing, and designing effective engagement strategies to acquire new customers and support them with digital marketing journeys.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Code and schedule sequenced email and SMS and nurture journeys in Klaviyo. This includes coordinating with the marketing team to understand requirements, set up campaigns, create data extension lists, build triggers, and implement lead scoring or profile tagging.
Manage automation workflows and act as a liaison with development teams or stakeholders to troubleshoot issues with data flow and triggers.
Build lead nurture campaigns, scoring, and cadence with marketing managers to effectively move prospects through a demand funnel and through customer onboarding.
Build landing pages and intake forms for campaigns using Klaviyo.
Create segmented approaches using dynamic content and deploy testing for optimizing conversions.
Maintain database health, ensuring data and email list cleanliness and completeness by leveraging tools in marketing platforms.
Support email managers in resolving deliverability issues.
Create Klaviyo and Google Ads reports on marketing and sales effectiveness of campaigns and programs.
Analyze performance and make recommendations for improvements, testing, and optimization.
Segment audiences based on relevant factors.
Requirements
YOU HAVE…
3-5 years experience providing email marketing support for an eCommerce company
Experience in Klaviyo or similar CRM
Experience in Postalytics or other direct mail tools
Experience in Simpletexting or other SMS tools
Should be tech-savvy, highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and creative
Can work following the US Eastern Time Zone shift
Experience in working with a US-based and/or Global client
Proficient in written and spoken English
Can adjust strategies based on the client’s KPIs
A desire to make meaningful contributions to knowledge equity, free culture, and open access
