Special Conditions    

• Required to work in all weather conditions.
• Required to work outside of normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.

Job Purpose    

• Co-ordinates sequences associated with the determination of client needs, monitoring contractors' compliance with contractual terms and conditions, standards, procedures, regulations, and specifications, preparing and presenting investigational and qualitative reports and processing/approving specific transactional works documentation, and conducting instructional/demonstration-based training aimed at improving and capacitating emerging contractors.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Evaluates and determines client requirements in respect of maintenance or modifications to lifts, fire protection and wet services and related equipment.
• Preparing procedural documentation, estimating costs, and outlining the specifications and scope of the contract for inclusion in tender documentation and advertisements or analysing quotations from contractors for specific minor maintenance works.
• Coordinates tasks and activities associated with the implementation of procedures and monitors
• Contractor/Departmental Teams compliance with standards and specifications in all mechanical maintenance work/projects.
• Attends site meetings and presents/outlines scope, terms and conditions to contractors and provides the necessary guidance and clarity on standards of performance, productivity levels and measurements.
• Informs Technical/Professional personnel of issues of non-conformity/problems on site and forwards details of observations and findings to facilitate problem solving sequences.
• Measures work in progress/completed work to enable determination of the validity of Contractor payment claims prior to certifying progress/final payments.
• Performs specific administrative activities/tasks associated with the updating and maintaining records/information of work in progress and completed works.

Essential Requirements    

• Trade Tested Artisan (Lift Mechanic)
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 2 Years relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy. 

Preferred Requirements    

• 3 Years relevant experience
