    MDA Specialist - Sandton

    Primary Purpose of the Job:

    • To improve the operational performance of the business through the effective management and optimisation of the MDA / MRI Property Central (“System”) and business processes related to the System. 

    Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)

    Standard Operating Processes

    • Design, define, document and implement MDA application processes based on defined business operating policies and processes.
    • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain with regular revisions.
    • Manage user access rights in accordance with business policies and audit twice a year in accordance with audit requirements.

    Internal Customers / Stakeholders

    • Establish good rapport with users to identify business requirements.
    • Responsible for System training, adopting a blended approach:
    • Conduct regular induction, refresher and ad hoc training sessions countrywide. 
    • Develop training material and ensure all training material is kept up to date.
    • Support, guide and assist all users with MDA related queries and support.
    • Analyse the data to investigate and verify cause-and-effect relationships. Determine what the relations are and attempt to ensure that all factors have been considered. Seek out the root cause of the System weaknesses.

    System optimisation, utilisation and maintenance

    • Optimise system and database performance conferring with MDA analysts, developers and Internal IT teams.
    • Sustained data quality through effective quality management and audits (exceptions reports) on database information.
    • Increase system utilisations of MDA / MRI Property Central by review of the modules available and aligning it to business requirements to reduce dependency on external applications.
    • Monthly billing run and financial close off, including maintenance of database integrity with regular integrity checks (after business hours).
    • To ensure regular data quality monitoring in the database is done.

    System integration

    • Assist with integration requests and advise on best practices when interfacing with MDA / MRI Property Central
    • Subject matter expert for System related data requirements

    Reporting

    • Liaison with BI developer in creating of BI reports based on business requirements.
    • Prepares business reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information.

    • Knowledge of MDA / MRI Property Central (essential)
    • Knowledge of change management (essential)
    • Knowledge of computer systems and software and the ability to effectively manage the optimization of processes and procedures to optimize System performance.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation (essential)
    • Design, define and documentation of business processes (essential)

    Education

    • B.Com Business Science or similar
