Mechanical Draughtsman - Modderfontein at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Provide complex mechanical designs and drawings for equipment, mechanical components, assemblies and systems, ensuring that appropriate standards are used.
• Provide feedback to the Drawing Office Planner and Drawing Office Manager about work in progress and current allocated workload.
• Support the Drawing Office Planner in ensuring customer requirements are met OTIF.
• Support the Drawing Office Planner and Drawing Office Manager with the management and storage of drawings and the verification of the quality and standards of drawings produced by the Drawing Office.
• Support the Drawing Office Planner with the finalisation of drawings and sign off
• Support continual business improvement and change management.
• Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures, and practices.
• Comply with Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience    

• National Diploma in Draughting in the field of service (Mechanical)
• At least 3-5 years related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional (Plant 3D an advantage)
• In-depth knowledge of 3D modelling and manipulation of models
• In depth knowledge of drawing BOM and functionality
• Create dxf and STEP files
• In depth knowledge of PDF functionality and watermarking
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and Explosive Act
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and standards
• Knowledge of maintenance in a manufacturing/process environment
