Mechanical Extruder Technician at CFAM Technologies (Pty) Ltd

Job Description

• Set up and prepare extrusion equipment for customer training and trials
• Set up and prepare extrusion equipment for site installation and commissioning 
• Operate various lab equipment and necessary supplies
• Maintain various lab equipment and necessary supplies
• Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure it produces high-quality product samples.
• Conduct extrusion trial runs at exhibitions and conferences
• Test products, compounds or batches in a laboratory setting
• Perform analyses and comparisons of results to contribute to technical, product development and innovation
• Prepare and document laboratory reports and procedures.
• Keep accurate records for gathered data,
• Keep confidential customer information
• Obtain quotations for raw material, lab instruments and other related necessary supplies
• Promote extrusion lab products and services
• Conduct continuous research and development of extruded products 
• Be bale to work with both food and feed extrusion processes

Qualifications

• Qualification in Consumer Science, Food Technology
• Qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years relevant experience or extruder machines and/or related equipment
• Experience in food manufacturing or production industry is an added advantage
