Mechanical / Piping Design Engineer at GIBB Engineering and Architecture

Core Purpose:

KGA is currently recruiting for a Mechanical - Piping Lead engineer with extensive Multidisciplinary Engineering Management experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or similar sectors to provide support to our client in the execution of projects. The Mechanical - Piping Lead engineer will be primarily responsible for the coordination and integration with a multi-disciplinary engineering team for the execution and delivery of mechanical / piping engineering deliverables. Such deliverables must be delivered meeting quality requirements in accordance with applicable standards and specifications, within budget and time.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bulk of experience must be in delivery of Capital projects the Petro-Chemical environment.
• Interfacing and/or engineering working experience with Sasol as an added advantage
• Understand all aspects of projects and be able to coordinate and maximize efficiency
• Thorough management knowledge, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Responsible for piping engineering and design processes including planning, coordination and integration with other disciplines.
• The ability to work with multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Pr. Eng

Desirable:

• Approved design engineer with Sasol South Africa Operations
• Previous Sasol Partnership Contract Knowledge

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years related experience with the with the bulk of experience gained in a Multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects
• Multidisciplinary Engineering and Design Experience
• Working experience with Sasol
