    Media Analyst (JHB North)

    Quality Data Analysis:

    • Obtaining information, check for accuracy and analyse data to produce insights.

    Research Operations:

    • Receiving research requests from Research Manager or to obtain audience insights on certain requests.
    • Performing audience and content research, analysis and interpretation for e.tv, Openview and eNCA regarding their target markets, content selection, scheduling trends, and interactive media environments providing insights for strategic decisions.
    • Conducting competitor analysis to stay abreast of competitors  and understanding viewership trends.
    • Conducting research to support production team’s requirements and providing feedback on programme audience performance. Have an understanding of Local programming and content.
    • Presenting findings to stakeholders, educating and providing insight about the SA Media Landscape. Have an understanding of the TV Landscape including the difference between Pay TV and Non-Pay TV (Free to Air)
    • Understanding the needs of the organization to ensure that research is tailored and relevant to deliver valuable insight.

    Reporting:

    • Providing reports on content performance and audience trends across the groups, showing a high level of numeracy and analytic ability.
    • Distributing research results reports.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Updating TAMS data on a daily basis.
    • Checking data accuracy, analyse data and produce reports.
    • Performing content and audience research and trends across eMedia Channels.
    • Conducting competitor analysis to stay abreast of competitor movements.
    • Presenting findings to stakeholders, educating and providing insights about the SA media landscape.
    • Understanding the needs of the organization, ensuring that research is tailored and relevant to deliver valuable insight.
    • Providing reports on content performance and audience trends across the groups.

    Qualifications

    • National Senior Certificate - Essential
    • National Diploma in Marketing and/or Statistics and/or Media Studies - Essential

    Experience

    • 2 years as a Media Analyst
    • Computer Literacy
    • MS Office Suite - Advanced
    • Telmar - Advanced
    • Arianna - Advanced
    • Functional/Technical Competencies
    • Decision Making
    • Information Monitoring
    • Planning and Organising
    • Stress Tolerance
