Medical Officer : Grade 1-3 at Free State Department of Health

Salary :

• Grade 1: R 1 041 402.00 - R 1 121 241,00 ;
• Grade 2: R 1 188 255.00 - R 1 297 089.00;
• Grade 3: R 1 375 245.00 - R 1 713 534.00

Requirements:

• MBCHB degree (qualification) that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner (2026/2027) (Independent Practice).A valid work permit will be required from non-South Africans.
• SA Qualified employee - No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner (Independent Practice).
• Minimum of 1-year relevant experience after registration with a recognised Foreign Health Professions and/or the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner (Independent Practice) for foreign qualified employees.

Knowledge and Skills:

• ACLS, ATLS, APLS, BASIC

Duties:

• Candidates will have to perform commuted overtime duties (compulsory and non-negotiable) Render outreach and support services to other level of care in our drainage areas (Free State Province)Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos.
• Perform clinical governance and ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements with FSDoH, OHSC, HPCSA, CMSA and UFS.
• Medical Administration: Perform all reasonable duties as directed by the Head of Department/ head of Clinical Unit and Medical Specialist: Critical Care Department. Conducting clinical audits. Monitoring and evaluating of relevant clinical effectiveness indicators.
