Metallurgist X2 - Steelpoort at SWIFT

Qualifications:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree (BSc / B.Eng) in Metallurgy or a similar field
• Registered member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) or similar.
• Valid Driver’s License

Experience:

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience as a Metallurgist in a Gold / Platinum operation or a similar role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a 5G enabled mine.
• Experience in a green-field project/start-up mine essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

• English: Fully Proficient.
• Mandarin: Fully Proficient (Preferred).
• Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Additional software program (AutoCAD, SAP) knowledge advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of gold / copper / platinum metallurgical process.
• Metallurgical / Plant processing software is necessary.
• Mathematical skills.
• Metallurgical process and plant operating skills.
• Excellent proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control.
• Good technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
