Job Description

This role is accountable for guiding the organisation through the definition, setup and delivery of strategic change programmes in order to achieve target outcomes. The encumbent Integrates programme activity to manage the overall programme delivery and change process and achieves results through others.

• Responsible for the successful delivery of strategic programme outcomes (involving IT enablement, organizational change and cultural change)
• Accountable for programme governance, best fit delivery processes, ensuring a true picture of the programme and enabling accountable business leadership to navigate through the options and trade-offs
• Responsible for ongoing alignment of the strategic program with business outcome targets, and related organisation initiatives
• Responsible for ensuring ongoing alignment of senior stakeholders to strategic direction and gains their commitment to delivery of the business benefits
• Ensures strategic programme and delivery risks are identified and mitigated
• Responsible for ensuring strategic programme issues are identified and resolved
• Accountable for ensuring agility and predictability of delivery against programme roadmap
• Accountable for accurate and meaningful reporting on programme status
• Responsible for ongoing co-ordination of required governance and working forums and decision making processes
• Helps shape and communicate the agreed end state picture for a given strategic imperative and the journey to get there and tales responsible for ongoing programme communications.
• Manage supplier contracts (where applicable)
• Accountable for Programme Budget management and reporting.

Minimum requirements for this role

• Formal Programme Management training and accredited qualification is essential
• Experience overseeing a transformation programme essential​
• Mergers and acquisitions experience is essential
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Programme manager
• Training & experience in agile and scaled agile frameworks is essential
• Understand and practise the agile principles and values

• Insurance
• Financial – including previous experience within Old Mutual
• Retail environment
• Experience on large transformation business projects across the organisation’s value chain
• Exposure to IT delivery
• An excellent communicator who has the ability to communicate, both written and verbal, at all levels including senior management.
• Proven ability in managing multiple deliverables simultaneously
• Good business acumen
• A strategic thinker who is customer centric
• Good inter-personal skills, including influencing and persuasion skills.  Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal and team results
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in working with Remote working & collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Jamboard etc.)
