Mild-Level Front-End Developer at Afrihost

The ideal candidate would have a strong background in Front-End Development and experience with User Interfaces. We are one of the country’s largest ISPs and need someone to join our Branding Department so that we can expand our capacity and continue pushing the envelope in our field.

The position is for a willing, enthusiastic and meticulous person who will work in the Front-End team. An ideal candidate would have excellent technical knowledge, worked closely with a design team and a strong portfolio of past work.

What your average day would consist of is system development and interface implementation. Our Front-End Team is responsible for the front-end interface of our client portal, all components of our website, marketing landing pages and other internal micro-systems.

Skill & Knowledge Requirements

• A formal qualification in Computer Science/Development.
• Have a solid foundation in HTML, SCSS, Javascript and Programming 101.
• Know your way around Photoshop and Sketch to build out designs provided by the design team.
• Mac competent.
• Have 2+ years experience with VueJS working on large scale applications. VueJS is the primary stack we use so experience here is non-negotiable.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Adding new features to the Afrihost Intranet.
• Assist with building marketing and product landing pages.
• Build out new features on our client portal and website.
• Manage internal systems & interfaces used across the company.
• Work with other teams to get projects completed from start to finish.
• Lead and mentor juniors on the team
