• Repair & Maintenance is responsible for installation, maintenance, calibration and program monitoring, measurement and/or control equipment.
• Performing installations of new equipment
• Upgrading already existing equipment and systems Troubleshooting
• Management of subcontractors
• Management of spare parts supply and storage
• Attend to maintenance requests in an efficient & timeous manner to reduce impact on production output and minimise health and safety risk.
• Report on trends in equipment and plan breakdowns in order to implement corrective and preventative measures
• Conduct regular maintenance checks in Warehouse, Production & Manufacturing departments weekly.
• Ensure that there is enough maintenance/hardware stock items to carry out the duties as assigned.
• Check all equipment & machinery on a regular basis with minimum breakdown.
• Conduct weekly maintenance of the plant, ensure that plant availability is utilized to the maximum.
• Good knowledge on GMP, GWP & GLP within a pharmaceutical environment.
• Ensure good working knowledge of Generator, Water plant, Waste plant, HVAC & other major equipment around the building etc.
• Backup for Maintenance Handyman & ensure tasks that are carried by Maintenance Handyman are done in his absence.
• Ensure all maintenance equipment, tools etc. used are kept locked in the Maintenance storeroom.
• Attend to all equipment in Production i.e blenders, flux pumps, induction sealers etc. fixes them timeously & attends to breakdowns & ensures monthly checklists are done.
• Complete all maintenance checklists for machinery & equipment on site.
• Expected results: Maintenance plan is actioned on time and within budget to reduce down time

Area of accountability #2: Service Provider Coordination:

• Accompany service providers whilst on site to ensure that work is completed as outlined in quote.
• Ensure service providers fill out the necessary safety permits, work at elevated heights, hot work permits as required by the job.
• Ensure service providers meet all safety regulations onsite.
• Ensures that Service provider reports are submitted to Facility Manager for signature

Area of accountability #4: COMPLIANCE

• Follow & practice Standard Operating Procedures related to facility Management
• Maintain cGWP & cGMP..
• Ensure no critical findings during external audits by external parties in your area of responsibility
• Close off all self-inspection findings in your area
• Adhere to cGMP, Health & Safety and housekeeping codes according to appropriate procedures
• Expected results: Compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices (as applicable) and other regulatory requirements of the role
