To manage and co-ordinate the efforts of a team at Mokopane mine to safely and efficiently drive production targets. This requires the management of direct reports as well as specialists to achieve Meters and Tons targets as per organisational strategy and objectives

You will have the following:

• Grade 12
• Blasting Certificate and Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency
• Business knowledge
• Management experience
• Budgeting/Finance
• Contractor management
• Training Experience
• Mechanized Mining Experience
• Geology experience/knowledge 
• SHEQ standards
• Computer skills

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in: 

• 5-8 years mining experience and 2 years at a managerial level.
• Excellent track record with similar experience in a mining environment advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: 
Process: Coordinate and manage a world class Mining function at the Mokopane mine 

• Embed effective and efficient production processes, plans and governance structures
• Lead tactical direction setting and plan for the business area in alignment to the company’s strategy
• Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvement
• Drive relationships with stakeholders to enable optimisation of the business value chain
• Forecast, secure and manage the budget as per Delegation of Authority Matrix
• Drive transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitisation and sustainability and provide timely and robust change management to underpin initiatives
• Embed and drive a work ethos that is committed to safeguarding employee safety, health and wellbeing
• Agree and establish reporting best practice for the mine
• Deploy an integrated risk management, governance and compliance framework throughout area of responsibility
