Mining Team Supervisor -Thabazimbi at De Beers Group

The focus for this role will be to:

• Assisting the Stoping/Developing team in obtaining planned production, as safely as possible, in the most cost effective manner and within the framework of prescribed regulations and standards.
• Attending and participating in Safety Meetings.. Understand the requirements of the MHSA Section 22 and 23
• Entry Examinations and Safe Declaration ABPS - Before conducting entry examination the miner to appoint the Team Supervisor for the panel.
• Carrying out the entry examination and ensure the working place is declared safe by all team members.
• Signing the safe declaration book with team members. Record all the deviations and action plans in the safe declaration book. Indicate the ABPS rating for workplace as per procedure.

The role is in the Mining Department at a B6 level reporting to the Miner.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12.
• Certified competent A and B. 

Knowledge, skills and experience required: 

• Three years related underground experience
• At least 6 months experience as an Mining  Acting Team Supervisor will be advantageous.
• Stoping and Developing experience will be advantageous.
