Mobile Equipment Operator (TLB) at Tshipi E Ntle Manganese Mining

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Operates mobile equipment to ensure optimum achievement of mine production targets, business objectives and customer requirements.  Ensures that all equipment is maintained in safe and effective working order. 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The role is responsible for:

Financial Perspective: 

• Financial effectiveness 
• Considers costs and suggests cost-saving ideas. 
• Escalates risks to supervisor. 
• Follows plant standard operating procedures to prevent losses and damage.

• Operates and maintains mobile equipment. 
• Operates and maintains mobile equipment safely and effectively to ensure that mine production targets are met. 
• Adheres to mine policies and procedures and follows supervisor instructions. 

 Escalates issues and problems where necessary to ensure: 

• Employee/ contractor safety. 
• Prevention of loss or damage to equipment and machinery. 
• Operates mobile equipment and machinery safely and responsibly according to standard operating procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Grade 12 
• Valid driver’s license 
• TLB license  
• Relevant TLB experience will be an added advantage  

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED 

• 3 years experience operating and maintaining mobile equipment. 
• Constantly works towards continued improvement. 
• Communication skills. 
• Good team-worker. 
• Ability to work independently.
