Mobilift Driver - Northam Development at Redpath Mining

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric certificate/ equivalent
• Driver’s license
• Valid operator’s competency certificate
• Medically fit
• Valid First Aid Certificate

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Previous experience as Mobilift driver with verifiable references
• At least 3 years’ experience as a mobilift driver in a mining environment
• Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely maneuvering the telehandler to move materials, equipment or personnel as needed
• Accurate involvement in lifting, transporting, and positioning items at various heights
• Record keeping of fuel consumption, maintenance activities and overall conditions of the mobilift machine
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, other team members and maintenance personnel
• Communicate with other workers to coordinate lifting operations
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge on the use of pre-use checklist and record keeping
• Plan lifts, assess the load, environment, and available equipment to ensure safe lifting operations
