MRP Zone Specialist at The South African Breweries (SAB)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop/Implement/Manage the (MRP) strategy for the AFR Zone to optimize the planning and procurement of raw materials
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, finance, and inventory management, to monitor and evaluate inventory performance to ensure compliance
• with zone and global targets (Including and not limited to DIO, CWC & Materials OOR, Raw Materials SCOH)
• Manage inventory valuation on the balance sheet and implement strategies to optimize inventory holding costs (CWC)
• Utilize MRP systems and software to track and analyse inventory data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve any issues related to material availability, quality, or delivery
• Collaborate with Procurement to stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to proactively identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate key performance metrics, supply chain insights, and improvement recommendations to management and senior leadership
• Ensure Inventory Policy is routinely reviewed and is up to date in accordance with Zone and/or Global Requirements
• Support Zone LCP as a Zone Pillar Owner (Including and Not Limited to MRP and Inventory Policy)
• Manage and support the implementation and use of Zone reporting tools for Materials Management

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-Year Bachelor level degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 1-2 years planning experience advantageous
