About the job
- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will design, test, implement, maintain and control relevant databases to ensure accurate installation and configuration of database and software to maintain a client centric and secure database environment.
Qualifications AND Requirements
- Experience - 3 to 5 years’ experience in Database Administration
- Knowledge Required: Design and administration of logical and relational databases in diverse technological environments
- Troubleshooting and analysis protocol
- Various database systems – MYSQL & Postgres
- Database queries and theory
- Distributed computing architectures
Must know:
- Install, set-up, backup, restore, security , monitoring/alerting, major/minor upgrades
- Unix/ Linux skills (create files, view files, navigate around directories, monitor disk space)
