National Sea Logistics Intermodal Manager at Kuehne + Nagel

Your Role

• To be the best container logistics service provider in the market, delivering value to our customers through Setting the inland strategy in line with Development & CCL Teams according to the needs of the geographical location. Supervise the team responsible for Intermodal Customer Service on a day-to-day basis. To provide the highest level of customer service at all times and ensure quick and correct resolutions of customer/supplier issues and complaints.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day intermodal operations within the assigned branch OCC
• Monitor intermodal activities required for timely and efficient transportation and distribution;
• Daily operations relating to Import and Export Container movements, container status updates;
• Verify bookings / container pick up numbers with Carriers / Vendors
• Negotiate with transporter's to develop partnership and establish rates;
• Ensure administration, accounting and billing functions;
• Monitor and respond promptly to all incoming communications (clients and other business partners-domestic and overseas);
• Daily communication with customers (internal & external) to provide them with shipment status, or any other operational information as requested;

Your Skills and Experiences

• To be considered, you should have at least 5 years of experience as sales person in logistics with focus on sea logistics field.
• You possess a positive attitude, strong influencing skills, and an eye for business opportunities.
• You will also demonstrate the ability to multi-task and follow through on commitments made to the customer.
• Effective communication abilities in English is essential to the success of this role.
• Good analytical skills, problem solving and decision making capabilities.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) as well quickly being able to learn new systems quickly.
