    Netball Fitness Trainer

    Key performance areas:
    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric. Post matric qualifications will be an added advantage.
    • Recognized Fitness qualification certificate will be an added advantage.
    • First Aid and Safeguard certifications and some experience playing or coaching netball
    • Coaching in USSA/Super League/ Provincial/Competitions will be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Computer Literacy.
    • Code 8 or 10 Driver’s license with PDP
    • No criminal record.

    Duties:

    • Planning and delivering training sessions for individual players and teams
    • Planning, organizing and executing practice sessions according to the needs and demands of the team.
    • Plan and organize trials for talent identification and recruitment of new players to the club.
    • Develop and implement game plans
    • Resolving team issues and mentoring players.
    • Be an example to the other technical team members and players to provide a positive atmosphere.
    • Provide reports on development of players, matches, etc.

    Knowledge & skills:

    • Be assertive and professional.
    • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
    • Be responsible for assessing the performance of the players under your expert direction.
    • Responsible for teamwork and team building or management.
    • Oversee developing tactics and training activities.
    • Leadership attributes.
    • Ability to manage/communicate effectively with players and administrators.
    • Report writing.
    • Nature of work requires after-hours and weekend duties/responsibilities.
    • Willingness to develop his/her coaching skills further through courses and workshops
