    New Business Development

    Overview

    • Contract Manufacturing/ Out Licensing and Account Management, including negotiations, marketing, sales and related support functions as well as customer service management specific to commercial, supply chain, negotiations and contract management for new launches and finished products (international, local and third party).

    Responsibilities
    Business Development and Sales

    • Use pharmaceutical and commercial knowledge to identify and/or develop new customer base, territories and products
    • Initiate sales opportunities with associated pricing and costing models and strategies
    • Generate sales and coordinate the required RFP processes
    • Securing sufficiently large deals to maintain production volumes for business sustainability
    • Identify, coordinate and implement marketing and promotion activities
    • Track CMO market share, industry trends and competitor offerings
    • Negotiate complex, competitive contractual relationships in support of business strategies.

    Customer Service

    • On-board new customers
    • Manages contract performance and supports the development and implementation of standard and/or value-based contract relationships in support of business strategies.
    • Engage with customers to support a positive customer engagements, resolve queries, concerns and complaints, liaising with production and related functions as required
    • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment in product development, customer concerns/ requirements and production
    • Identify opportunities for growth, continuous improvement and future sales within customer base

    Operational Support

    • Support the RFP process by gathering and coordinating costing, volumes, timelines, etc.)
    • Drive contract development by collaborating with legal and other stakeholders

    Requirements

    • Grade: 14

    Background/experience

    • 4 to 6 years’ experience, with at least two years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in commerce

    Specific job skills

    • Extensive and proven business development, marketing and sales track record
    • Extensive procurement, financial & NBD knowledge with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing
